Daramalan College is an ACT senior high school in Canberra, Australia, located in the suburb of Dickson, near the Dickson Shopping Centre. It provides education from year 7 to year 12 , in a co-educational environment. Run by the Roman Catholic Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, it has an emblem of a red eagle on a black shield. Its theme colours are red and black.
Daramalan College was founded in 1962 by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart as an all boys school, with girls enrolling in years 11 and 12 from 1977, and in year 7 onwards in 1996. The school's motto is "Fortes in Fide," which translates from Latin to "Strong in faith."
Daramalan has recently had a new wing built, designed to allow improved education in the fields of Hospitality and Food Science. It features a new commercial quality kitchen and Functions Room. Also included in the building is a new Uniform Shop. The new building has kept with the Daramalan tradition of being named after persons that have had significant impact on the school and community. The wing is named the Garratt Wing after David Garratt (the previous Head Master).
